Although you have some good points, all you really need to do is test out the voices to see what they sound like, just like any sound you find in the sound library. I don't think the voice names are confusing. Also to add onto this suggestion, a bark TTS voice would be cool too. And I believe the kitten voice should be called “meow” since it would be a bit clearer in my opinion. Such as things like “girl voice one” “girl voice two” “boy voice one” “boy voice two”, though they’d probably have different names, more like “young girl voice” and “adult girl voice”, etc. So I suggest changing their names, at least some of them. And that caused me to think the “kitten” voice was also going to be a regular voice. But it just ended up being a more high pitched voice and even then it didn’t really sound like a squeak. When I read that name I thought it would have been, well, a squeaking sound. The one that irritates me the most is the voice called “squeak”. And I also feel like they don’t really match the voices. Also I’m not sure how many of the users (at least younger ones) would know what things like alto and tenor mean. For instance, when I saw the voice “tenor” I had no idea what it’d sound like. In my opinion, the names of various text to speech voices are very unclear.
